A funeral mass celebrating the life of Michael R. Miletello, 63, of Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 22, 2017 at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. Keith Garvin, Rev. Job Edathinatt Scaria, and Rev. Thomas Lijo officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
Mr. Miletello was born on December 22, 1953 and passed away on May 19, 2017 at St. Francis Medical Center
Mr. Miletello was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Salvadore and Josephine Catalina Miletello; maternal grandparents, Nicholas and Francis Mattie Roppolo.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Harbin Miletello; children, Matthew Miletello and his wife, Marylane and Colby Miletello and girlfriend, Courtney Bryan; granddaughter, Isla Miletello; parents, Mitchell and Jodie Roppolo Miletello; Father and Mother-in-law, Stowe and Kaki Harbin; sisters, Jo Marie Schaff and husband, Gregory, Diane Miletello, and Karen McDuffie and husband, Mark; Brother, Larry Miletello and wife, Sandra; Brother-in-law, Stowe Harbin and wife, Nena; Sister-in-law, Nancy Roberts; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mike started working in the family owned grocery store at a young age. He was a graduate of St. Frederick High School and attended Northeast Louisiana University, where he was an active member of Kappa Alpha. He worked in the Wholesale Beverage Industry for 38 years. Mike was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, where his vocation was to serve ACTS and Teen ACTS groups. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Pallbearers will be Laura Cox, Karl Yabut, S. J. Cicero, Josh Roberts, Roco Sylvestri, Mark McDuffie, Greg Schaff, Eric Thibodeaux, Robert Rodgers, and Doyle Wilbanks.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Frankie Miletello, Sal Pettito, Freddie Cascio, J. T. Brown, Tracey Ardito, Paul Cambre, and Andy Trahan.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Sunday, May 21, 2017 and a Vigil Service, and Rosary will be held at 6:30 P.M. at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude or the American Cancer Society.
