Funeral services for Merilyn L. Brown, 87, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the Chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at her residence.

Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Brown; and sons, Glenn E. Brown, and James (Jimmy) Wayne Brown, Sr.

Survivors include her son, Donald Ray Brown and wife Tracy of Dallas; grandsons, Jimmy Brown Jr. and wife Mechelle, Lance Brown, Josh Brown, Jeremy Brown, and Chad Sliger; granddaughters, Lisa Brown and Emily Brown; and several great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Brown Jr., Buster Lewis, Kenny Lewis, Josh Brown, Jeremy Brown, and Chad Sliger.

Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
