Meredith Kate (Katie) Williams

Funeral services for Meredith Kate (Katie) Williams, 25, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 16, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.

Katie was born February 2, 1993, in Monroe, LA, and passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, after an eight-month battle with heart disease. Katie was a 2017 graduate of ULM. She had a love for soccer, dance, and cheer. Gregarious and outgoing, she showed her love for people and her pets. Her love for the outdoors was evident by the many hours spent with family and friends. She was a member of North Monroe Baptist Church.

Katie was preceded in death by grandparents, William W. Webster, Norma S. Webster, and Chalmes Williams.

Survivors include her mother, Kay Webster Williams; father, Michael Wayne Williams and wife Sharon Sivils Williams; grandmother, Faye Auttonberry Williams; uncle, William K. Webster; aunt, Lisa Trussell Williams and husband David; and many cousins.

Memorials may be made to American Heart Association, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or any non-profit animal shelter of your choice.
