Melba Ann Moore

Funeral service for Ms. Melba Ann Moore, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Friday, November 19, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Butch Pilcher and Rev. Gerald Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 7:00PM Thursday, November 18, 2021, at the funeral home.

Ms. Moore was born on August 3, 1934, in Monroe, LA, and passed away on November 14, 2021, in Monroe. She was a secretary, homemaker, and member of The Assembly in West Monroe. Ms. Moore was a sweet and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her grandchildren called her MeMaw. She was preceded in death by father, Dallas Richie; mother, Mildred Richie; and brothers, Charles Richie and Gene Richie.

Survivors include her three daughters, Janice Varino, Jill Roberts, and Jackie McGaunn and husband, Shaun; three grandchildren, Richie Varino and wife Tanasha, Alicia Luffey and husband David, and Scarlet McGaunn; and six great grandchildren, Dhayne Varino, Sophia Varino, Alyse Varino, Vincent Luffey, Nolan Luffey, and Cason Luffey.

Pallbearers will be Tod Richie, Dhayne Varino, Vincent Luffey, David Luffey, Stanley Crump, and Floyd Youngblood.

Memorials may be made to Heart for the House The Assembly.
