Services for Maybelle Boughton, 97 of Mangham will be 11:00AM Friday, November 1, 2013 at the Bethlehem Baptist Church with Bro. Keith Stephens and Bro. Jeffery Thomas officiating. Burial will be in the Prewitt Cemetery near Mangham under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home-Rayville. Mrs. Maybelle passed away Thursday, October 31, 2013.
She was a member and Sunday school teacher for over 70 years at Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was a gracious lady, very sweet, loving, and kind to all she knew.
She is preceded in death by her husband-R. B. Boughton; daughter-Trudy Hill and son-in-law-Dock Hill; daughter-in-law-Alice Boughton; great granddaughter-Hillary Thomas; 5 brothers-Felix, W.O. “Dub”, Foster, Traylor, and Ed Jones; 5 sisters-Myrtis Jones, Susie Mock, Lanie Haire, Maude Mulhearn, and Lula Cheek.
She is survived by a daughter-Judy Gilley and husband Ronnie of Mangham; a son-Roger S. Boughton and wife Judy of New Iberia, LA; a brother-in-law-Leo Cheek of Mangham; grandchildren-Roger L. Boughton and wife Beth, Shannon Boughton, Leah Erikson and husband George, Marty Thomas and husband Jeffery, Dr. Stacy Gandy and husband Jimmy, LeaAnn Teague and husband Jim; and 14 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, great grandsons, Noble Ellington and Johnny Boughton.
Visitation will be 10:00 till service time at the church.
In lieu of flowers memorial made to Bethlehem Baptist Church and Prewitt Cemetery.
