Funeral services for Max L. Perot, 78, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, February 16, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Matecki Nelson officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Perot was born December 17, 1939, and passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018. He retired after 25 years as Chief of Station #1 at the Ouachita Parish Fire Department. Mr. Perot was a U. S. Army veteran, loved to hunt squirrels, and fishing at Toledo Bend.
Mr. Perot was preceded in death by his wife, Dollie Scarbrough Perot; son, Darrell Robertson; brother R. V. Perot; sister, Esther Towery; and niece, Sonya Hemphill.
Survivors include granddaughters, Jessee Thompson and her husband Kenny, Frankee Robertson; great grandchildren, Harper, Baylee, and Braxton; brother, George Perot and wife Betty; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Pallbearers will be the members of the Ouachita Parish Fire Department.
Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Mulhern Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to the Northeast Louisiana War Veterans Home.
