Memorial service for Mr. Max Brodnax, Jr, 82, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Tuesday, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with The Rev. Bill Echols officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery in Bastrop under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe.

Mr. Brodnax passed away on September 15, 2007, at his residence. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church. Mr. Brodnax was an Air Force veteran of WWII, where he served as a 2nd Lieutenant, and fighter pilot flying the P47 Warhawk. He was a co owner of Emily’s Pharmacy. Mr. Brodnax was also a member of the North Louisiana Camera Club. He was preceded in death by his two sons, Lance Louis Brodnax and Max Brodnax III; and his brother, Louis Terrell.

Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Emily Braddock Brodnax of Monroe, LA; son, Edward Terrell Brodnax and wife Trish of Manhatten Beach, CA; daughter, June Elaine Brodnax and husband Jimmy; two granddaughters, Tina Ann Brodnax all of Bastrop, LA; and Samantha Jean Brodnax of Manhatten Beach, CA; two great grandchildren, Kali and Viviahna Brodnax of Bastrop, LA; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Charles Wright of Bastrop, LA; nephew, John Terrell Brodnax of Monroe, LA; and his beloved pet, Muffin.

Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service time Tuesday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
