Mattie Mae Wilson Carroll

Services for Mrs. Mattie Mae Wilson Carroll, 95, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 31, 2011 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Dr. Woods Watson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Kilpatrick’s Serenity Gardens in West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Carroll was born on November 11, 1915 in Downsville, LA and passed away on July 29, 2011 in West Monroe, LA.  She was an excellent seamstress who won many contests.  She had many other hobbies that included, china painting, ceramics and pottery, crocheting, knitting, bowling, traveling, loved flowers and working in the yard and was also a great beautician.  Mrs. Carroll is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Martin Charles Carroll Sr. “Mutt”, her parents, Henry Arther and Leona Bearden Wilson and her brother, Clinton Wilson.
Survivors include her son, Martin Charles Carroll Jr.; grandchildren, Chuck Carroll, Richard Carroll, Scott Carroll, John Carroll, and Susan Guise; numerous great grandchildren; she raised Sue Ann Wilson Humphries, Glorifae Wilson Style and Keith Wilson.
Pallbearers will be Will “Little Man” Carroll, Scott Carroll, Chuck Carroll, John Carroll, Robert Guise, Lee Carroll and Richard Carroll.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
