Matthew Taylor Southern

Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Matthew Taylor Southern, 6, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, March 5, 2022 at White’s Ferry Road Church in West Monroe, LA with Mr. Paul Stephens and Mr. Rick Cole officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.

Matthew was born on July 7, 2015 and passed away on February 28, 2022. He was a member of the White’s Ferry Road Church. Matthew was a sweet loving young man who was well known for being well mannered. He enjoyed disc golf, fishing, singing, coloring and reading. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Linda Tripp; great grandfather, Fransico Medrano; and his great grandmother, Mildred Condrey.

Survivors include his mother, Ashley Southern of McAllen, TX; father, Taylor Southern of West Monroe, LA; siblings, Naomi Jackson, Deja Fletcher, Jeffrey Woods, Mark Minniefield, Micah Southern, Ashton Garza, Benji Martinez, Titus Southern, and Nevaeh Kay’ Marie Southern.

Pallbearers will be Sylas Borel, Cole Daves, Kentrell Borks, Cong Bui, and Carl Borel.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 4, 2022 at Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe, LA.
