Matt "Billy" Huey, Jr.

Funeral Service for Mr. Matt “Billy” Huey, Jr., 71, of Chatham, LA, will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, January 10, 2019, at Frantom Chapel Church in Eros, LA, with Rev. John Austin officiating. Interment will follow in Cartwright Cemetery in Jackson Parish, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mr. Huey was born December 25, 1947 and passed away January 7, 2019. He was a cattleman that loved his horses and cows; a true cowboy.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Renée.

Survivors include his children, Kala Johnson, Catherine Theard, Erin Whitten, Andrew Huey and Clayton Huey; thirteen grandchildren and three on the way; one great grandson; brothers, Charles Huey, Robert Huey and Gene Huey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be his sons, sons-in-law and Jimmy Huey.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 9, 2019, at Frantom Chapel Church in Eros, LA.
