Mary Catherine Henry Wilhite

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mrs. Mary Catherine Henry Wilhite, 85, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, April 14, 2024, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Waymond Warren and Rev. Jeff May officiating.  Interment will follow in the Wilhite Cemetery in Wilhite, LA. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 4:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. and Sunday, April 14, from 2:00 P.M. until service time at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe. 

Mary was born in Monroe, LA on August 16, 1938, to Jim D. and Aline Henry, and passed away on April 11, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center surrounded by her family.  She was a member of Cypress Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Robert L. “Bud” Wilhite; children, R. Lane Wilhite and Robert Nyp, Myla Owens, and husband, Laron and Jeri Knight and husband, Donnie; grandchildren, Kaylie Flesher and husband, John, Abbie Knight, and Sydney Nyp; sister, Charlene Smith and husband, Tommy; brother-in-law, Billy F. Wilhite; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Brad Ellerbe, Tracy Wilhite, Joey Wilhite, Josh Wilhite, Hardeman Cordell, and Steve Snipes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
