Funeral services for Mary Salsbury, 89 of Madison, Mississippi, formerly of West Monroe, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 A. M. Tuesday August 28, 2018 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Shurte officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Salsbury was born on March 19, 1929 in Kilbourne, LA, and passed away on August 24, 2018 in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was a member of Living Way Apostolic Church in West Monroe. Mrs. Salsbury first job was as a telephone operator in the late 40’s and retired in retail sales. Mrs. Salsbury loved quilting and sewing, making blankets for babies at the local hospitals and for her great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Dealie Fowler; husband, Rev. Harvey A. Salsbury, Sr.; son, Harvey Allen Salsbury, Jr.; sisters, Carrie Overby, Whitney Guillett, Maebel Griffin, Emma Dee Hammett, Pauline Durden, Myrtle Jackson, and Valerie Copeland; brothers, Benny Fowler, J.D. Fowler, Enos L. Overby, and Robert Fowler.

Survivors include her children, DaJuana Byrd, Danny Howell and wife, Anita, Mary Howell Powell, Gary Salsbury and wife Marie; grandchildren, Shari Allen, Daniel Howell, Jason Powell, Derek Powell, Crystal Howell, Colby Howell, Natalie Miletello, Mickey Freeman, Justin Salsbury, and Jared Salsbury; twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


Pallbearers will be Jason Powell, Derek Powell, Shari Allen, Crystal Howell, Colby Howell, and Daniel Howell

Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday August 27, 2018 at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA.
