Mary Miller MaloneMulhearn Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LAFuneral Services for Mrs. Mary Miller Malone, 68, of West Monroe, LA will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 23, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Rev. Lynn Malone officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA. Mrs. Malone was born December 19, 1946 and passed away October 20, 2015 after a courageous fight with cancer. Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, who loved spending as much time as she could with her beloved grandchildren. She was the ultimate example of “caring for family before herself”. Mary cared about others and gave of herself freely whenever she was needed. She always had a smile on her face and she set an example of how we should all always remain positive in spite of different obstacles that we may face. Her tenacious attitude was felt by all who knew her and loved her. Mary loved reading, traveling and spending time with her friends. “God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you and whispered “Come with me”, with tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away and though we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands were put to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. So when tomorrow starts without you, we do not think we are far apart, for every time we think of you, you are right here in our heart.”Mary was blessed with an extraordinary network of friends who spent tireless hours providing her with care, encouragement, and loving support. Her friends stayed by her side throughout her illness. They may have been friends, but the bond they shared was more like family. We would like to extend a special thank you to her “sisters”, Yvonne “Tutsy” Mays and Bonelle “Bo” Boles, along with her work and church family, for all of the love and support you have shown to her. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Terry L. Malone, Sr.; her mother, Della Tucker Crain; her father, Boyce Miller.Those left to cherish the beautiful memories of Mary are her son, Ashley B. Malone and fianc Sarah Carlisle; step-sons and daughters-in-law, Ben and Kellie Malone, Rev. Lynn and Vanessa Malone, and Shawn and Toni Malone; grandchildren, Katelynn, Mitchell, Morgan and husband Ryan Kavanaugh, Adam and wife Felicia, Josh and wife Piper, Brittney, Kelsey and Samantha; sister, Denise Clampit; brothers, Richard Miller, Eddie Miller, Jeff Miller, Randy Miller, Tommy Miller and Ronnie Miller; as well as a treasure chest of friends and loved ones. Pallbearers will be Steven Clampit, Jody Clampit, Lee Wheelis, Brandon Wheelis, Adam Malone, Mitchell Malone and Josh Malone. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
