Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary R. Shepherd, 91, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 23, 2013 at Culbertson Baptist Church Cemetery in Union Parish with Rev. Jeff Luellen officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Mrs. Shepherd was born on December 29, 1921 in Ringgold, LA and died on August 20, 2013 in West Monroe, LA. She was a retired Legal Secretary with Hudson, Potts and Bernstein Law Firm in Monroe, LA. Mrs. Shepherd loved quilting and gardening. She is preceded in death by her husband, Norman H. Shepherd; two brothers, and a sister.
Survivors include her four sons, Mike Shepherd(Pam), Gerald Shepherd(Lillian), Richard Shepherd(Luann) and Joe Shepherd(Beth); 11 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Shepherd’s grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearer will be Rev. Jonathan Finley.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA.
Memorials may be made to the Culbertson Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Mrs. Shepherd’s granddaughter, Kimberly Shepherd Davis for the special care that she gave. And also to the staff of the Arbor and Terrace for the care that was given to Mrs. Shepherd.
