Mary Lucille Lea Pierce

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Lucille Lea Pierce, 89, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, December 18, 2024, in Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Brother Richard Byrd officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Visitation will be from 9:00AM until service at the Mausoleum Chapel. 

Mrs. Pierce was born in Kentwood, LA, September 8, 1935, and passed away in Monroe on December 13, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Mary was an only child, a special devoted daughter, and cared for her parents, aunts, and uncles until their death. She had a heart of gold and unselfishly loved her family, church, and friends. Mary was a born-again Christian, who followed Jesus closely. 

Mrs. Pierce was preceded in death by her parents, F.N. and Lorene Hilburn Lea; special aunt, Lilly May Lea and Uncle Mann; daughter, Beverly Pierce; son, Ricky Pierce; and granddaughter, Shannon Pierce. 

Survivors include, husband of 72 years, Ray Pierce; daughter, Connie Pierce; six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
