Mary Nicholson Thomas

Funeral services for Mary Nicholson Thomas, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, January 7, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas was born October 28, 1929, in Sallis, MS, and passed away peacefully Thursday, January 4, 2018, surrounded by her family at St. Francis Medical Center.
Mary Thomas was a loving, caring, devoted wife, mother, sister, and Mamaw Blondie. Her family will forever remember her love and endless devotion. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Monroe.
Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Aubrey “Mack” Thomas; her grandson, Lance Michael Thomas; and her siblings, Arthur Nicholson, Jimmy Nicholson, Erma Frazure, Bobby Nicholson, and Mildred Carraway.
Survivors include her children, Danny M. Thomas (Connie), Patricia Watt (Roddy), and Teresia Dickerson (Tim); grandchildren, Melissa Jarrell (Troy), Jennifer Dossett (Shane), April Dillingham, Jonathan Dickerson (Sarah), and Matthew Dickerson (Kelsi); and 9 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jonathan Dickerson, Matthew Dickerson, Troy Jarrell, Shane Dossett, Thomas Dossett, and Jesse Nicholson.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
The family wants to thank The Oaks, CCU of St. Francis staff, and the LSH staff. A very special thanks to Dr. T. J. Jetha for her hours of dedication and support to mom and family while under her care.
