Funeral services for Mary Nastasi Boyle, 88, of Monroe, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, November 26, 2011, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church with Rev. Matthew Long officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Mausoleum under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Boyle passed away Friday, November 25, 2011. She was a founding member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, a member of the American Business Women’s Association, and the Catholic Daughters of America. Mrs. Boyle worked at the family business, Monroe Candy and Tobacco Company, and retired from Pelican State Wholesale.
Mrs. Boyle was preceded in death by her husband, Willard Francis Boyle; sister, Phyllis Nastasi Black; and nephews, Mark Black and Mike Nastasi.
Survivors include brother, Joe Nastasi; cousin, Bernadine Cameron and husband John; nephews, Downey Black and wife Deanne, Eric Black and wife Hilda, Joe Nastasi, Jr. and wife Donna, Jim Nastasi, John Daryl Cameron and wife Cindy, and Vincent Cameron and wife Kalon; nieces, Stasi Brigmon, GeGe Roulaine-Fudickar and husband Bob, and Rose Nastasi; many great nephews and nieces and great-great nephews and nieces; and many, many friends.
Pallbearers will be Downey Black, Eric Black, Stephen Black, Michael Black, Jim Nastasi, and Joe Nastasi, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be John Cameron, John Daryl Cameron, and Mitchell Miletello.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9:00 AM until service time at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels.
