Mary L. Thompson

Graveside Services for Mrs. Mary L. Thompson, 85, of Monroe, LA, will be 2:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM Monday, October 15, 2018, at Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe.

Mrs. Thompson was born October 18, 1932 and passed away on October 12, 2018. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church. She loved sewing and cooking, but most of all spending time with family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Troy Wallace and Gladys Nugent; son, Melvin Thompson; two daughters, Elaine Nelson Fuller and Lottie Jo Howell; and two grandson, Scotty Bernice and Ian Nelson, Jr.

Survivors include her four children, Beth Winn (Dillard), Audrey Wilcox (Lynn), Ian Nelson (Donna), and Gladys Joyce Nelson; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Jimmy Wallace, Bill Wallace, and Ruby Wallace; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
