Mary Jane Sikes

Funeral services for Mary Jane Sikes, 87, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, June 6, 2018, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, with Rev. William Sikes officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sikes was born February 3, 1931, in Sterlington, LA, and passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at Ouachita Healthcare and Rehabilitation. She retired from E. A. Conway Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Sikes was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome T. (Bob) Sikes; sister, Betty Jean Evans; and brothers, Ronald Evans and Donald Evans.

Survivors include her son, Jerome Sikes and wife Karen; daughter, Terri Sikes; grandchildren, Sidney Sikes and wife Amy, William Sikes and wife Jamie, and Mark Kerry; great-grandchildren, Taylor Sikes, Avery Klaire Sikes, Rafe Sikes, Walker Sikes, Whit Sikes, Weston Sikes, and Ian Kerry; sister, Carol Shoffner and husband Ernest; brother, George Evans and wife Glenda; aunt, Mae Evans; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Pallbearers will be Sidney Sikes, William Sikes, Mark Kerry, Jerry Sikes, Taylor Sikes, and Robert Sikes.

Memorials may be made to the Children’s Fund at Loch Arbor Baptist Church.
