Mrs. Mary I. Nolan passed away Thursday, September 13, 2018, at the young age of 95 years. She was married for 63 years, to the love of her life, Frank, until his death in 2007. Now they are reunited. They traveled extensively to South America, Japan, all fifty of the United States and Europe, experiencing the thrill of flying on the Concorde. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Monroe. She has lived in Monroe for 63 years and lived independently at her home until two days before her death. She had a wonderful life.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Mike Nolan and wife Rhelda of Monroe; daughter, Nancy Thompson of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Mike and Monique Nolan of New Orleans, Emory and Erika Nolan of New Orleans, Russell and Analicia Nolan of Baton Rouge, Katherine and Dustin Henderson of Houston, TX, Allison Thompson of Houston, TX, and Holly Thompson of Houston, TX; and great grandchildren, Sinclair, Emery, Penelope, Cecilia, Will, Lizzy, Landon, Sam, Blake, Natalie, James, Dylan, and Addie.
A family service will be held 3:00 PM, Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, Monroe, officiated by family friend David Burkett. A celebration of Mary’s life will follow at 4:00 PM, at the home of Mike and Rhelda Nolan, 3701 Bayside Circle, Monroe.
