Funeral services for Mrs.
Mary Ethel Mooney, 84, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday
November 27, 2013 at the Rocky Branch Assembly of God Church with Rev. Eugene
Brown and Rev. Eddie McElhannon officiating, with committal services held in
the mausoleum chapel of Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of
Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe, LA


 


Mrs. Mooney died November 25,
2013 at the West Monroe Guest House


 


Mrs. Mooney was a licensed
practical nurse at Glenwood Hospital for twenty-five years.  Mary also was her husband’s assistant in his
ministry as a full time Associate Pastor of Rocky Branch Assembly of God Church
for twenty years. Mary’s special interests were playing with her grandchildren
and great grandchildren. She was a very special mother and grandmother noted
for her congenial disposition….Her hobbies were fishing and working in her
flower beds at home.


 


Survivors: her loving husband
of sixty-five years, Rev. James Mooney, two sisters, Louise Robbins and Alline
Baxter, two sons, Steve Mooney and daughter-in-law, Vickie, and David Mooney
and special friend, Penni Guidry; Daughter-in-law, Theresa Mooney;
granddaughters, Amy Mooney, Jennifer Bell and husband, Spencer, Allison Eskine
and husband, Barron; grandson, Ryan Mooney and wife, Shauna; and two great
granddaughters, Makenna Bell and Kerrigan Bell.


 


Mary was a born again
Christian for over sixty years and a member of the Rocky Branch Assembly of God
Church.


 


Visitation will be from 9 AM
until service time at Rocky Branch Assembly of God.


 


Pallbearers will be members
of the church.


 


Special thanks from the
family to Hospice Family Alliance, the West Monroe Guest House Nursing Home, to
the members and Pastor Mack of Rocky Branch Assembly of God for their help
during our time of bereavement.
