Mary Elizabeth McDowell Kelley Lyne, 93, of Monroe, LA, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2018.
Mrs. Lyne was predeceased by her husbands, James Kelley and Joe Lyne; parents, Robert George and Vinnie Mae McDowell; nephew, James Robert Hale; niece, Mary Dell Dial; 1 sister; and 5 brothers.
She is survived by nephews, Steven Hale and wife Kathy, Robert McDowell and wife Marilyn, Edward McDowell and wife Margaret, James McDowell and wife Susan, George McDowell and wife Tina, and Todd McDowell; nieces, Peggy Sue Hale, Tommie McClain and husband Mack, Mary Keadle and husband Martin, Kate Blasingame and husband Bo, Elizabeth Hoffman, Cathy Hart; and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family request that memorials be made to the LA Baptist Children’s Home or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph Nursing Home for their kindness and care during her stay with them.
