Mary Elizabeth "Liz" Mizell

Funeral service for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth “Liz” Mizell, 79, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 2:00PM Sunday, April 25, 2021, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe. Interment will follow in Cheniere Baptist Church Cemetery in West Monroe. Visitation will be from 1:00PM until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Mizell was born on July 8, 1941, in Ouachita Parish and died on April 21, 2021, in Monroe. She was a retired beautician and enjoyed cutting hair. She loved her grandchildren, spending time gardening, and cooking. Mrs. Mizell was preceded in death by her parents, Brealon and Viola Windham; brother, Anse Windham; and sister, Annette Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Mizell; two daughters, Jodie Davis and Kandie Forbes Boutwell (Wesley); grandsons, Brandon Davis, Dylan Forbes (Morgan), and Landon Forbes; brothers, Martin Windham (Dianne), Charlie Windham (Pat), and Rodney Windham (Charlene); two great grandchildren, Ella Stroud and Kinsley Davis; special niece, Keisha Avery; step son, Shawn Mizell (Lori); step daughter, Sherry Jennings (Kevin); grandchildren, Brooke Theodos (Kade), Lesley Mizell, Christopher Jennings, Blake Jennings (Ashlee), and Hayley Jennings; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Kade Theodos, Tyler Avery, Kyle McConkey, Shawn Mizell, Kevin Jennings, and Blake Jennings.
