Mary Elizabeth Johnson Taylor

A Celebration of Life for Mary Elizabeth Johnson Taylor, 85, of West Monroe, LA will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, July 25, 2016 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA with Rev. Joel Brackett and Rev. Eugene Brown officiating. Interment will follow in the Luna Assembly of God Church Cemetery.Mrs. Taylor was born August 10, 1930 and went to be with her Lord July 22, 2016 surrounded by her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Taylor was a faithful member of Seigle Assembly of God Church, where she attended regularly up until her illness. She was retired from Wossman High School as the Cafeteria Manager. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Alvie Johnson. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Horace G. Taylor; children, Linda Sue Milner and husband Robert, Paul W. Taylor and wife Sharlet, Lessie Knippers, and Mable Oliece Dulaney; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.Mrs. Taylor’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.
