Mary Edmonson

Funeral Services for Mary Edmonson, 87, of West Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Friday, December 30, 2022, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home in West Monroe with Rev. Austin Rinehart and Dr. Gary Stringer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery in Monroe, LA.

Mary was born on February 11, 1935, in Monroe, LA and passed away on December 26, 2022, in West Monroe, LA. She graduated from Ouachita Parish High School in 1953 where she played the oboe in the band. Mary loved music and singing and enjoyed bowling. She was a member of McGuire United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir for 45 years.

Mary is preceded in death by her daughter, Nancy Lynn Vaughn; brother, Billy John (Buddy) Golson; nephew, John Wesley Golson; and niece, Cheryl Kay Golson Moore.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Telano and husband Joey; grandchildren, Justin Mitchell, Cory Telano (Chelsey), Trey Telano (Jolie), and Brett Vaughn-Zyjewskis (Matt); great grandchildren, Charlie, Payson, Drake, and Noah; son-in-law, Ray Vaughn; and sister-in-law, Eva Nell Golson.

Pallbearers will be Trey Telano, Cory Telano, Brett Vaughn-Zyjewskis, Dean Williamson, Ross Bryant, and Joey Telano.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. until service time on Friday.

The family would like to thank Rosemont Assisted Living for their love, care and devotion while she was a resident, and also the Med Nurse Team, Jessica Sharp, and Elara Care for their commitment to our mother.
