Funeral Services for Mrs. Mary Correro Savana, 101, of Monroe, LA will be 11:00 AM Monday, September 27, 2010, at Jesus The Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 2510 Emerson Street, Monroe with Father Matthew Long officiating. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Mrs. Savana was born on July 16, 1909 in Convent, La. and passed away on September 24, 2010 in Monroe, LA. She is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Savana, daughter, Mary Ann Savana, her parents, four brothers and five sisters. Mrs. Savana was a member of the Altar Society at St. Joseph Catholic Church, member of PMC Ladies Auxiliary and a member of CSC Ladies Auxilliary.
Mrs. Savana is survived by her daughter, Louise Savana Khoury and husband Chakib, granddaughters, Teresine Tarver and husband Doug, Veronica Dickey and husband Ken, great granddaughters, Amy Sliger Scott and husband Chad, Katie Tarver, Emalie Dickey, great great grandchildren, Lennon Sliger and Taylor Sliger, brother, Sam Correro
Pallbearers will be, C. J. Fontana, Rob Harris, Dale Correro, Steve Correro, Michael Correro, Michael Haddad, Anthony Correro and William Masters.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Sunday, September 26, 2010, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. Vigil Service will be held at 6:30 PM.
The family would like to thank all of the doctors and staff at The Oaks Nursing Home and Hospice Compassus for their loving care of Mrs. Savana.
