Mary Frances Carter

Mary Frances “Frankie” Carter 85, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, February 1, 2023, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home Sterlington Rd. Monroe with Rev. Bill Lewis officiating. Private Interment will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Bernice, LA. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Carter was born on February 26, 1937, in Shreveport, LA, and passed away on Sunday, January 29, 2023, in Monroe.

She was retired from the Ouachita Parish School System after 33 years of service.

Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by her husband Ernest Carter and her parents, Howard Bowie and Florence Bowie Schade.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Lee Johnson (Neil); son, Howard “Bubba” Carter (Sha); grandchildren, Matthew Pipes (Melissa), Marc Carter (Myranda), and Hannah Asher (Ryne); and four great grandchildren.
