Funeral services for Martha Ann Anderson, 63, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, February 5, 2016 at Bible Missionary Church, Monroe with Rev. Jesse Truitt officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.Mrs. Anderson was born on January 25, 1953 in Marksville, Louisiana to Dandy and Daisy Mayeux. She died Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at St. Francis Specialty hospital. She was a registered nurse for over 30 years and worked at St. Francis Medical Center. She was very hardworking and the most caring person anyone could meet. She was a wonderful nurse, great mother and very loving person. Even though she was a nurse and loved nursing, if there was only one thing she would choose to be known for, it would be grandmother. She was the grandmother of three beautiful grandchildren and one great grandchild. She loved them with all of her heart and then some. She was a wonderful mother and the best Nana ever.Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her father, Dandy Joseph Mayeux; and nephew, Byron Wayne Mayeux.Survivors include her mother, Daisy Mayeux; brother, Silas Joseph Mayeux; daughter, Rebekah Eve Anderson; son, David Paul Anderson and wife Almalesha; grandchildren, Lydia Laurice Powell, Langston Laurenz Powell, Lillian Marie Anderson; great granddaughter, Faith Ann Marie Powell; nephew, Brent Joseph Mayeux; niece, Julie Ann Mayeux Newsom; ex-husband, Lochlyn Anderson; and life partner, Glen Cee Caudill.Pallbearers will be David Anderson, Langston Powell, Dale Anderson, Jack Newsom, Verdine Williams and John Dowd. Honorary pallbearers will be Silas Mayeux, Glenn Caudill, Lochlyn Anderson, Brent Mayeux and Gary Pierson.Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 PM prior to the service at Bible Missionary Church.The family wishes to extend their thanks to St. Francis Medical Center and St. Francis Specialty Hospital for the love and care given to Mrs. Anderson.Memorials may be made to Bible Missionary Church.
