Marshall McFarland

Funeral services celebrating the life of Mr. Marshall McFarland, 94, of Gilbert, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025, at the Turkey Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Goodman officiating. Interment will follow in the Providence Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Winnsboro, LA.

 Mr. McFarland was born on April 30, 1930, and passed away on January 27, 2025. He is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Pauline McFarland; parents, Johnnie and Ella Madie Ezell McFarland; brothers, Rayford McFarland, J.D. McFarland and Earnest McFarland; sisters, Dorothy Netherland and Margie Thornhill; and his two son-in-laws, Robbie Magee and David Arnold.

 Survivors include his children, Sandra Henderson and husband, Wayne, Peggy Martin and husband, Tommie, Kathy Free and husband, Artis, Penny Arnold, Robin Fondren and husband, Lloyd, and Bud McFarland and wife, Pam; grandchildren, Donald, Tina, Dena, Jason, Junior, Marlan, TJ, Brandie, Tater, Anthony, and Travis; twenty one great grandchildren; ten great great grandchildren; sisters, Irene Jones, Edna Keen, and Maudie Powell; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

 Pallbearers will be Mr. McFarland’s grandsons, Donald, Jason, Junior, Marlan, TJ, Tater, Anthony and Travis.

 Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at Turkey Creek Baptist Church.
