Memorial services for Mark Lane Lawson, 43, of Monroe, will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at The Assembly of West Monroe with Rev. John Skipworth and Rev. Rodney Reeves officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mr. Lawson was born April 23, 1974 and passed away Friday, September 8, 2017. He attended The Assembly of West Monroe, and was owner and operator of Lawson’s Lawn Care for over 20 years. He loved to sing and play the guitar. Mark was very devoted to the church and loved ministering to others. He enjoyed body building and exercising and was very active. He graduated from OCS High School in 1994 where he ran track. Mark had an appreciation and love for food and cooking. Most of all he loved his sons deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. He was a devoted and loving father, son, brother, and friend.
Mr. Lawson was preceded in death by his father, Tommy Lawson; grandparents, Rev. W. D. and Victoria Grant; and one sister, Sherry Lynn Reeves.
Survivors include his 2 sons, Joshua and Caleb Lawson of Monroe; mother, Charlotte Grant Lawson of Monroe; one sister, Deborah Carter and husband Jason and their sons, Christian, Chase, and Chance Carter, all of Monroe; 2 brothers, J. R. Reeves and Jeremy Reeves of Winnsboro; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members as well as many friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 1:00 PM until service time at The Assembly of West Monroe.
