Memorial services for Mrs. Marjorie Grace “Dollie' Rizzo Taylor, 90, of Monroe, LA will be held 2:00PM Saturday, August 1, 2015, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Rd., Monroe with Rev. Tony Smith officiating. Mrs. Taylor passed away on July 24, 2015, at St. Francis Medical Center. She worked as a realtor and later owned the House of Flowers and Gifts in Monroe. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents, Velva Barr Carr Ramsey and Seigle Verne Carr; husband, Samuel Paul Rizzo Sr., sisters, Esther Carr Scaife, Birdie Sheppard, Ruth Ashcraft Mansur and Joy Carr Pockrus; and beloved grandson, James Paul Rizzo.Survivors include her children, Paula Lee Rizzo, Deborah Ruth Rizzo and Samuel Paul Rizzo III (wife Thuy); sister, Gloria Carter Northcutt; and beloved granddaughter, Deborah Lee Rizzo, grandson, Bin Truong; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.A very special note of thanks to Dr. Charles Morgan and Amy McKenzie, RN, as well as the rest of the amazing staff of Hospice Compassus, for the excellent care of our Mother.Visitation will be from 12:30PM until service time Saturday at Mulhearn Funeral Home.
