Funeral services for Marion Lewis “Bob” Broadway, 87, of Eros, LA, will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 24, 2017, in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, with Rev. Warren Eckhardt officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Marion Lewis “Bob” Broadway born July 7, 1930, 3rd of 7 children to George W. and Lottie Broadway, passed away September 20, 2017, in Monroe, LA. He retired from Monroe Fire Department as a Captain and was a U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Broadway was preceded in death by his wife, Walterine Broadway; step son, Walter Lenard; his parents; brother, George E. “Pete” Broadway; and sisters, Annette Gordy and Lou Edna Broadway.
Survivors include a step daughter, Susan Maxey and husband Larry; brother, Nathanael Broadway and wife Nancy; sisters, Ola Clark and husband Billy and Dorothy Kay “Dottie” Taylor and husband Willie; grandchildren, Christa Lewis and husband Stuart, Joshua Maxey and wife Anna, April Lenard, Tammy Kedward and husband Peter, Shane Lenard; and many great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Joshua Maxey, Kenneth Maxey, Stuart Lewis, Billy Lynn Clark, David Wayne Clark, and Randall Wagley.
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
