Marilyn Audirsch was born on November 8, 1930 in Downsville, Louisiana and went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 12, 2025.

Mrs. Audirsch was a very family-oriented lady and she loved to spend time with her girls and all of her family whenever possible. She loved gardening and to be in her yard with all of her lovely flowers. She knew the names of all of the flowers she had planted as well. Marilyn had a green thumb for sure. You could always see her taking a long walk around her neighborhood. She was an advertising manager at Kmart then she went on to be a sales lady at McRae’s. She had many years of dedicated service before her retirement.

Marilyn was a devout Christian woman and was a member of Rowland Road Church. She resided in St. Joseph’s Assisted Living for eight years and she made so many friends there and the staff took wonderful care of her. The last nine months she was in the West Monroe Guest House. Mom and all of the nurse aids had such a wonderful time together. We would like to say thank you for taking exceptional care of our precious mother. Also we want to thank Elara Caring Hospice for their wonderful care over the last several years. She loved all of you so very much.

She is preceded in death by her husband and love of her life, Shelton Weaver Audirsch; parents, Cebron and Ruth Boyd; sisters, Lillian Kersey and Lunette Kendrick; and son-in-law, Dan L. Monge.

Those left to cherish the memory of Marilyn are her daughters, Margaret Sharon Shirley and husband, Randy and Debbie Monge Farley and husband, Martin; one granddaughter, Becky Finley and husband, Heath; three grandsons, Matthew Shirley and wife, Julie, Ryan Monge and wife, Mary, and Blake Monge and wife, Megan; eleven great grandchildren, as well as many friends, family, and loved ones.

Marilyn's legacy of love, dedication, and warmth will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort and inspiration to all who loved her.

The pallbearers will be Randy Shirley, Matthew Shirley, Blake Monge, Ryan Monge, Heath Finley, Patrick Finley, Andrew Shirley, and Tyler Colvin.
