Marietta Spatafora Brown

September 16, 1937 — December 24, 2011

Marietta Spatafora Brown went to be with Our Lord on Christmas Eve after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at St. Matthew Catholic Church on Jackson St. in Monroe on Tuesday, December 27 with Fathers Job Edathinatt and Joe Puthuppally officiating. The rosary begins at 10:30 A.M. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow in the Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, John and Mary Spatafora, and three brothers, Jerry Spatafora, Steve Spatafora, and John Spatafora, Jr.

She is survived by her husband of 27 years, Carl Albert Brown; four daughters and their husbands, Lisa and Jimmy Moore of Bossier City LA, Rhonda and Brent Adams of Monroe, Lori and Eric Thibodeaux of Monroe, and Dina and Jack Robison of The Woodlands, Texas; two step children, Kelly and husband Dean Andrews of Vicksburg Mississippi, and Carl and wife Karla Brown of Monroe; grandchildren, Ashley Boyd, Trey McDougle, Ryan Moore, Jennifer Penney, Kirstie Winter, Mathew Thibodeaux, Aaron Thibodeaux, Blake Robison, Jaci Robison, and Zachary Brown; and six great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Trey McDougle, Blake Robison, Mathew Thibodeaux, Aaron Thibodeaux, Zachary Brown, and Ryan Moore.

Marietta's passion was spending time with her family and cooking. She was also a volunteer at Jesus the Good Sheperd Alter Society and the homeless shelter, Saint Vincent De Paul Meals On Wheels and a member of the PEO.
