Marie Miletello was born November 13, 1932 in Rosehill, MS and departed to be with the Lord on September 28, 2009 at home in Monroe, surrounded by her loved ones. Marie was preceded in death by her mother, Velma Beatrice Smith, and her father, Hugh R. Smith; sister, Alma Pulley; brothers, Rufus and Luther Smith.

Mrs. Miletello was one of the first certified licensed contractors for the Department of Transportation & Development (DOTD), by the State of Louisiana under the Women’s Business Enterprise, a member of the Ouachita Enterprise Association, a panel judge for the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and a licensed Notary Republic. Marie and her husband, Frank Miletello, served as president of their square dance organization, where in their spare time they loved to travel and square dance with their friends; she always hosted her canasta card club with elegance. Marie was an avid cook where she entered and won first place in a cooking contest for the Parish & State of Louisiana with her most recognized dish, “Brousaloma”. She loved to entertain in her home and always made sure you did not leave hungry. Marie was called to do what the Lord had commissioned all of us to do, “feed the hungry”, by being a faithful volunteer for the soup kitchen shut-ins at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
