Marie Elena Frugè Cascio

Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Elena Cascio, 75, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, December 22, 2017, at Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, with Rev. Matthew Long officiating. Interment will follow at St. Matthew Catholic Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.

Marie Cascio was born June 21, 1942, and passed away December 19, 2017 at home, following a brief illness. She was a member of Jesus the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, also attended St. Matthew. Marie and her beloved husband, Victor, lived life to the fullest, sharing many adventures, experiences and memories with friends and family alike. Marie filled her latest years enjoying time with her 5 grandchildren.

Mrs. Cascio was preceded in death by her husband, Victor David Cascio; brother, George Frugè; parents, George Frugè, Sr. and Edna Maher Frugè.

Survivors include her sons, Joe David Cascio, II and wife Rene Cascio, Victor David Cascio, Jr., Rodney Christopher Cascio and wife Caroline Cascio; grandchildren, Joe David Cascio, III and wife Michelle, and daughter, Harley, Carter Christopher Cascio, Benjamin Maher Cascio, John Christopher Cascio, and Katherine Marie Cascio.

Pallbearers will be Tom Baker, John Lauve, Joe Cascio, III, Carter Cascio, Benjamin Cascio, and John Cascio.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Thursday, December 21, 2017, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe, LA.

The family wishes to extend their thanks to St. Francis Medical Center Emergency Room and Special Care Unit, and Ortho Neuro Floor. Also, special thanks to St. Joseph’s Hospice.
