Funeral services for Marie Case Gibbs, 86, of Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, February 2, 2010 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe with Rev. Skip Dean officiating. Interment will follow at Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.


 
 
Mrs. Gibbs passed away Friday, January 29, 2010. She was an active member of College Place Baptist Church where she ran the library and ceramic class and was in the choir. She worked at The Palace in Monroe. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pearl and Minnie Halley Case.


 
Survivors include her husband of sixty-eight years, E.S. “Peanuts” Gibbs; her daughters, Carolyn Perry and husband David of Monroe, LA and Peggy Tennyson and husband Bronnie of Haughton, LA; son, Emmett Gibbs and wife Lisa of Ruston, LA; four granddaughters, Mary Guidry and husband Daniel of Eunice, LA, Lori Takewell and husband Terry of Calhoun, LA, Hallie Martin of Haughton, LA, and Leigh Martin of Bossier City, LA; four grandsons, David Potter of Eunice, LA, Josh Martin and wife Shannon of Fort Worth, TX, Nicholas Gibbs and wife Bethany of Newport News, VA, and Jonathan Gibbs of Monroe, LA; nine great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.


 
Pallbearers will be Josh Martin, Nicholas Gibbs, Jonathan Gibbs, Terry Takewell, Brent Takewell, and David Potter.


 
Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, February 1, 2010 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
