Funeral services for Mrs. Marie Arnold Bonnette, 87, of Monroe, LA, will be at 2:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Monroe with Pastor Paul McComack officiating. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Bonnette was born December 31, 1919 in New Orleans, LA and passed away on April 17, 2007 in Monroe, LA. Her parents were Eugene and Edna Arnold. She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Mrs. Edna “DeDe” Riddick; her brother, Mr. Paul Arnold; and her daughter, Ashley Bonnette.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie Bonnette Staley and husband, Danny of Monroe, and Lisa Bonnette and her significant other, Phil Cali of Metairie, LA. She is also survived by one step-granddaughter, Lisa Staley Fabre and family of Houston, TX, in addition to several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bonnette was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and truly enjoyed many years as a member of the choir and the LWML ladies organization. Besides the activities at church, she enjoyed playing cards, watching bowling and the Saints play football, and spending time with her family and friends. Her always positive attitude, her wonderful sense of humor, and her ability to get along with everyone will be special memories to all who knew her.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 1301 Oliver Road, Monroe, LA 71201 in memory of Mrs. Bonnette.
