Maria “Mary” Elena Flores GainesMulhearn Funeral HomeWest Monroe, LA Funeral Services for Maria “Mary” Elena Flores Gaines, 73, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 27, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe with Pastor George Wortham officiating. Interment will follow in Lapine Assembly of God Church Cemetery in West Monroe. Mrs. Gaines was born October 19, 1941 in El Paso, TX and passed away March 24, 2015 in West Monroe, LA. She loved making quilts and doing jigsaw puzzles. Mary was a wonderful mother, wife, and grandmother. She was a very loving and kind person and always making new friends. Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Candelaria Flores; and her son, Bobby Campbell.Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Shelby Gaines; children, Candi Summerville, Sherrie Roberson, David Campbell, Darryl Campbell, Vickie Williamson, Sondra Walsh, and Sheila McClain; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dylan Summerville, Billy Fenn, Casey Roberson, Bruce Bratton, Scotty Oglesbee, and Butch Collins.Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
