A private family graveside service will be held Monday for Margie Ann McDuffie 85, of Bastrop, LA.
Mrs. McDuffie was born March 25, 1934, in Ruston, LA and passed away February 1, 2020, at Lagniappe Healthcare in Bastrop, LA. Margie retired as memorial secretary from Louisiana Baptist Children Home of Monroe, LA. She was a lifelong member of College Place Baptist Church. Her love and passion were reading and music.
Mrs. McDuffie was preceded in death by husband, George William “Buck” McDuffie; two brothers, J.C. and Verlon Pesnell; grandson, Buck Bostick.
Survivors include three children, George William “Sparky” McDuffie and wife Cheree, Samuel Coleman McDuffie and wife Teresa, and Kathryn McDuffie Waggoner and husband Tom; grandchildren, Michael, Shayne, Kayce, Katie, Maggie, Caroline, Will, Preston, and Brittney; nine great- grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
