Margerite Rose Buxton Wyatt

Funeral Services for Mrs. Margerite Rose Buxton Wyatt, 92, of North Little Rock, AR, will be held at 11:00 A.M., Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Souls Harbor United Pentecostal Church in Calhoun, LA with Rev. Jimmy Masters and Rev. Gerald Buxton officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun, LA under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Wyatt was born October 13, 1924 and passed away February 14, 2017. She was a woman who pressed courageously and faithfully onward for 7 decades as a minister, against the norm, to fulfill her calling from God. Margerite knew and preached the Bible fervently. She had many friends and loved ones, and there was always a laugh nearby. She started new churches, reopened closed churches, helped out struggling churches, and assisted and mentored other pastors, teachers, and saints.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Ray Wyatt; daughter, DonElla Wyatt; and numerous brothers and sisters.

Survivors include her three sons, Whit Wyatt (Penny), Hal Wyatt (Cindy) and Thomas Wyatt (Robyn); three grandchildren, Jessica, Amber and Dylan; two sisters, Mildred Rogers and Sophia McCormick; and brother, Rev. Gerald Buxton.

Pallbearers will be Whit Wyatt, Hal Wyatt, Thomas Wyatt, Daniel Phillips, Rodney Powell and Hubert Reeves. Honorary Pallbearer will be Dylan Wyatt.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M., Saturday, February 18, 2017 at Souls Harbor United Pentecostal Church in Calhoun, LA.
