Funeral Services for Margaret S. Thomas, 88, West Monroe, LA will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday September 28, 2015 in the chapel of Mulhearn Funeral Home West Monroe, LA with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Calhoun, LA.Margaret was born June 25, 1927 in England, Arkansas and passed away September 24, 2015 in West Monroe, LA. Margaret attended Peniel Baptist church where she taught Sunday school and worked with the GA’s group. She worked at LSU extensions and enjoyed sewing. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Washington Thomas; daughters, Rachel Thomas and Rita Jackson; five sisters and one brother. Survivors include her daughters, Lottie Stephens and husband, Chuck and Becky Lewis; sons, James Calvin Thomas and wife, Cindy and Bill Thomas and wife, Shannon; twelve grandchildren; twenty- one great- grandchildren; five great- great grandchildren.Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.Visitation will be held 12:00 P.M. until time of service Monday, September 28, 2015.
