Private family services for Mrs. Margaret Ann White Price, 83, of Monroe, LA will be held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA with Rev. R. B. Moore officiating. Inurnment will be in St. Paul’s Columbarium, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home in Monroe, LA.

Mrs. Price died February 10, 2024, at St. Francis Medical Center after a brief illness.

Margaret Ann married Benjamin A. Price in October of 1964 and lived in Hammond, LA Baton Rouge, LA, Little Rock, AR,  Shreveport, LA, Germantown, TN and Monroe, LA

Margaret Ann was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA. She volunteered for several organizations, St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock, Germantown Middle and High Schools, St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, St. Francis Medical Center. She was born in Independence, LA, graduated in 1958 from Southeastern High School in Hammond and received her B.S. Degree from Southeastern Louisiana College in 1962. Margaret Ann received an education scholarship to the University of Colorado and continued her education in Library Science at University of Memphis, U.L.M. and Southeastern. In her early years she served as the senior executive secretary for Baton Rouge General Hospital and the Louisiana National Bank. In her later years she served as a court reporter in Monroe and the School Librarian at Holy Rosary School in Memphis and St. Fredericks High School in Monroe.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Almeta Tucker and James Carl White, and her brother, James Richard White.

Survivors: her husband of 60 years, Benjamin A. Price; Sons, Christopher White Price of St. Louis, MO and Patrick Hill Price of Monroe, LA; and her niece, Wendy Gough and husband, Matt of Plant City, FL

Memorials may be made to St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Monroe, LA
