Graveside Services for Mrs. Mardell Lena May Floyd, 89, of West Monroe, LA, will be 10:30 AM Monday, February 7, 2022, at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Calhoun. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, West Monroe.
She was born September 23, 1932 and gained her wings on February 4, 2022. She was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Floyd was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, shopping and finding deals at garage sales. Mrs. Floyd was affectionately known as “Maw-Maw” and “Yam-Yam”. She loved spending time with her family and will be missed dearly.
Mrs. Floyd is preceded in death by her parents, W.T. Mann May and Irene May; husband of 60 years, Roger Mixon Floyd; and siblings, Waylon May, Doris Aulds, Mavis Weeks, Mervin “Buck” May, and Crafton “Dooley” May.
Survivors include her children: Donald Glen Floyd (Mary Nelda), Mike Floyd (Michelle), and Tammy Gautreaux; seven grandchildren, Shane, Peyton, Shelby, Tara, Lyndsey, CeJay, and Micah; twelve great-grandchildren, Haley, Shawn, Samantha, Amber, Kaleigh, Hudson, Carter, Penny, Letty, Lucah, Gwen and Delanie; one great-great-grandchild, Sophia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
