Madeline Claire Brown

Madeline Claire Brown was born on December 29, 2022, in Monroe, LA and passed away on February 6, 2023, in New Orleans, LA. Madeline was a precious, gorgeous baby girl who brought joy to everyone who met her. She had the most beautiful smile and the cutest crooked yawn you’ve ever seen. She was and is immensely loved by her family and friends, especially her parents, Daniel and Heather, and her brothers, Cade and Cam. 

Our hearts are absolutely broken. She has left us unexpectedly and way too soon, but her light will continue to shine on in others, both in memory and through organ donation. Our sweet girl, at only 5 weeks old, will forever be a hero by saving the lives of others. We love her more than words can express and will continue to honor her memory.

She is preceded in death by her uncle, Tim Howard, Jr. 

Survivors include her parents, Daniel Owen Brown and Heather Elyse Howard; brothers, William Cade Howard and Cameron Tyler Simon; grandparents, Mike and Emily Brown, Eddie and Kim Hendry, Tim Howard, Sr., and Alison Howard; great grandparents, Margie Brown, Jim and Susan Poe, Shirley Poe, Donald Howard, and Jean Young; uncle, Joshua Brown; aunt, Helena Howard; numerous other extended family members and close family friends. 

We want to thank the EMT’s and Glenwood Hospital emergency room staff for the prompt care they provided in West Monroe. A very special thanks to the entire PICU staff at Ochsner’s Hospital in New Orleans for the excellent care they provided for our precious Madeline and the compassion shown to our family and friends during our sweet girl’s stay in the unit. 

Private services will be held. 

Memorials may be made in Madeline’s name to LOPA (Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency) or Ochsner’s Child Life Services in New Orleans.
