Mackie O’Donnell Bryant, 52 of Navarre, FL, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011. Mackie was a native of Monroe, LA, but had resided in the Navarre area for 7 years. She was a member of Saint Peter Catholic Church and was a school teacher for the past 20 years.
Mackie was born on October 12, 1958. She was a 1976 graduate of Neville High School, and later a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University. Mackie was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, teacher, and friend. Her warm heart and loving smile will be missed by all who knew her.
Mackie was preceded in death by her mother, Mackie O’Donnell Winchester; father, Jack L. O’Donnell; and sister, Tommye Sue O’Donnell Mattison.
Survivors include her husband of 5 years, Robert Bryant; sons, Addison and Blaine Heffron; daughters, Mackenzie Heffron and Jessi Bryant; sisters, Pam O’Donnell Thomas and Mary Margaret O’Donnell; brothers, David O’Donnell and Jackie O’Donnell; grandchildren, Mallory Elizabeth Metz and Dustin Chase Cooper, Jr.; nieces, Amy Thomas Terzolas and Kimberly and Melanie O’Donnell; and nephew, Tyler Thomas.
Funeral Service was held Friday, May 27, 2011, at Lewis Funeral Home Navarre Chapel. Visitation in Monroe, LA will be before the graveside service from 1:30 PM until 3:00 PM on Sunday, May 29, 2011.Visitation and service will be at Mulhearn Memorial Park Mausoleum chapel, 623 Highway 80 East with Msgr. Edmund Moore officiating. Services are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
