Lydell Wilson Breard

May 31, 1926 — March 24, 2013

Lydell Wilson Breard, a homemaker, joined her precious husband in Heaven on Sunday, March  24, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Lydell was a treasure to all who knew her. She was a charter member of the Junior Study Club and La Petite Maison Garden Club. Her love was her family, especially our weekly Sunday dinners, but her passion was her garden and flowers.
Dell was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert L. Breard, Jr., her parents, Jesse Lee and Neva Venable Wilson; parents-in-laws, Herbert L., Sr., and Lady Bird Breard; her sister, Linda W. Chappell; and daughter-in-law, Carol E. Breard.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Peggy Breard Turner (David), Herbert L Breard III (Janet), Ernest R. Breard, Michael W. Breard (Colette), Laura Breard Willsher (Bob), and Paul  Morgan Breard (Denise); grandchildren: Sean Kelly Reynolds, Herbert Lee Breard IV (Jewal), Lyndsey Breard Sikes (Alex), James Leighton Breard, Alison Willsher Sanford (Jim), Aaron Daniel Breard (Paige), Lauren Elizabeth Willsher, Ernest Ricker Breard Jr. (Erin), Michael Luke Breard, Edward Garrett Breard, Bryan James Breard, and Brooke Jane Breard; great-grandchildren: Herbert L. Breard V (Quint), Ainsley Anne Breard, Laura Katherine (Kate) Sanford, and Lillian Jane Sanford; nieces, Lynn Jones (Tom), Chris Cejka (Dan); nephews, Billy Chappell (Debby), Brent Chappell (Patsy); special family friends, Nancy Scurria and Mary Allen Ambrose; and numerous grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a vigil wake at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, at Mulhearn Funeral Home Chapel on 165 N.
A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at St. Matthew Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Matthew Cemetery on Washington St.
Memorials can be made to Cerebral Palsy of Louisiana, Relay for Life (OJHS), St. Matthew Catholic Church, or Life Choices.
