Graveside Services for Mrs. Lucinda “Cyndi” Gail Myers- Parker, 67, of Sterlington, LA, will be 1:00PM Saturday, February 22, 2020, at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA, under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Monroe with Rev. J.R. Wells officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until 12:45PM Saturday, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Myers-Parker was born November 14, 1952, in Pascagoula, MS and passed away Tuesday, February 18, 2020, at St. Francis Medical Center, Monroe, LA. Cyndi was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. Cyndi had many passions including her family, books, her favorite records (The Beetles), cooking, gardening, bird watching, and the Saints. Her love for books is what put her on the path of working in various bookstores for most of her career. She shared her love and passions with everyone she knew. Cyndi was loving, kindhearted, and always there to listen when needed. She had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way and made an impact on everyone she knew. Cyndi was always a strong, determined, independent woman. She will forever be loved and missed by all.
Mrs. Myers-Parker was preceded in death by mother, Ouida Coleman (Don); father, Calvin Myers (Sis); and grandson, Christopher Smith.
Survivors include husband, Stan Parker; daughters, Roxanne Smith and Joanna Parker; brothers, Calvin Myers (Suzie) and Scott Myers (Beth); grandchildren, Miranda Sawyer (Justin), Micheal Shelton, and Mia Hope Millien; and great-grandchildren, Lillian and Emma Sawyer.
Pallbearers will be Denton Lee Pearson, Monte Rhodes, Tommy Byrnside, Gary Dunham, Randy Shoalmire, and Justin Sawyer.
