A Gathering of relatives and friends for Mrs. Loretta Jean Wallace, 79, of Monroe, LA, will be Thursday, October 17, 2019, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe. A private family graveside service will be held on Friday at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church Columbarium. Arrangements are under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home, Sterlington Road, Monroe.
Mrs. Wallace was born January 3, 1940 and went to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2019. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Mrs. Wallace enjoyed listening to music, watching television, crossword puzzles, and traveling with her husband for 50 years. She was known by many as Jean.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Audrey Mae Hubbard McDonald; husband, James Foster Wallace; sister, Jane Beaver; and great-grandson, Collin Foster Forest.
Survivors include her two children, Jay Wallace (Linda) and Amy Wallace Martin; three grandchildren, Laura Terry (James), Kerri Malone, and Ashley Carroll (Kyle); five great-grandchildren, Skyler Malone, Tanner McNease, Amelia Terry, Tristen Carroll, and Cash Carroll; siblings, Bill McDonald (Judy), Larry McDonald (Jan), and Don McDonald (Angie); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul’s United Methodist Church or the St. Francis Medical Center NICU.
