Graveside Services for Lois Margret Rush Nichols, 100, of West Monroe, LA will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Hasley Cemetery in West Monroe, LA. Rev Ricky Baker and Dr. Jim Wolfe officiating.
Lois was born October 18, 1918 in DeWitt, Arkansas and peacefully passed from this life on January 13, 2019 in West Monroe, LA. Lois was preceded in death by the love of her life Percy W. Nichols, her son, Jack David Nichols, her parents Alfred W. Rush and Lillian Lady Rush, her brothers; Kenneth, Gilbert, Orville (Dude), Charles, and Alfred (Junior) Rush, and her sister Mildred Rush Dupslaff.
Left to cherish her memory are her children; daughter, Kay Carter and husband Glen; son, John Nichols and wife Karen; grandchildren Lori Carter Rogers, Kandi Carter Talbert, Chris Carter, Jennifer Nichols Pesnell, Meghan Nichols and their spouses; and 7 great grandchildren.
Lois loved her family, her church, and serving others. Her smiling face could brighten any room. She was a gifted storyteller, avid reader, and the queen of bream fishing. She worked as executive secretary at Louisiana Power and Light for over 25 years. She and Percy traveled the United States and world extensively after their retirement.
